God’s people give generously to meet a need!

In my October Asia Newsletter, I quoted from a report received from Pastor Denny Moses which gave details of their ministry in Khagaria, Bihar, for the months of September and October. Brother Denny Moses’ report included activities centred around the visit to Khagaria by Advent Christian Conference of India’s President, Rev. Francis Thangadurai, along with other senior pastors from Chennai. Among many activities they dedicated a new church building and the pastor’s quarters at Baliya; they dedicated another pastor’s child and they conducted the marriage service of one of their pastors – Brother Ramesh, to Sister Rani. Brother Denny Moses wrote as follows…

On the same day (07/10/2017) Br. Rajesh and Sis. Rani‘s marriage and Br. Rakesh’s (Allouli Pastor) child’s dedication were celebrated. All the church believers & Pastors gathered to lift up the highest name of our Father on these two occasions. Child dedication and a marriage service were held – the bride Sis. Rani & the groom Br. Ramesh are both handicapped, Br. Ramesh has completed his Bible training in GEMS Bible School and continues to serve God as a pastor in our mission.

Kindly pray for them to get a handicapped scooter. As they are handicapped they are unable to get in or get out of any train & buses or any other vehicles. May our Lord fulfil their need by your valuable prayers.”

Brother Denny Moses also added a specific prayer request at the end of his report…

5. Pray for newly married couple Br. Ramesh and Sis. Rani (at right) as they are physically handicapped, but they have committed their lives to serve God in Bihar. They are unable to walk like normal people, so they need a physically challenged vehicle. For that we need 90,000 Indian rupees [about NZ$2,010], please pray that God will provide for them so that they may do God’s work earnestly for His glory.”

Thank you to those who prayed, and thanks and praise to our Gracious God who answered our prayers through two members of His great, worldwide family here in New Zealand, who between them generously gave NZ$2,100. The funds were sent to Yesuway Jeevan Mission in Chennai who sent them on to Khagaria, and the vehicle has been purchases and handed over to Brother and Sister Ramesh and Rani.

Pastor Paul Sundar Raj, who leads the team in Khagaria has sent the following letter of appreciation, and some pictures of the vehicle and of Ramesh and Rani.

“Praise the Lord

Beloved Iya,

In the greatest name of Jesus Christ, I wish you all .As the verse says “The Lord is My Shepherd I Shall not want” Our God has made us fulfilled our prayer request. The Handicapped new couple  ro. Ramesh and Rani’s unimaginable expectation is fulfilled only and purely by the grace of God with your giving hearts. Really, we are wordless to express our thanks for your unforgettable help towards our Bihar ministries – as the verses says in Matthew 25:45

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Definitely, Lord will remember you throughout your life time.

May God Bless You.

Thank You

Yours Lovingly

Brother Denny Moses tells me that Sister Rani is not yet able to ride the vehicle, but will be learning to do so very soon, and assures me that the vehicle will comfortably carry them both together when necessary.

I have pointed out to Brother Paul Sundar Raj that I was merely the channel for the provision of the vehicle and that God deserves all the glory!
